What we collect, why we collect it, and how to get rid of it.
Last updated: 12 October 2026
The short version. We store your account details and your revision progress so the site works. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not log your IP address. We never see your card number. You can delete your account, and everything tied to it, from Settings at any time.
RAG Learning is operated by RAG Learning Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17472101), registered office 84 Wynchgate, London N14 6RN. We are the data controller for the personal data described here.
For anything about your data, email TChandranivasan@raglearning.uk.
If something looks like an attempt to change a protected part of an account, such as subscription status or administrator rights, we record the account involved, its email address, and what was attempted. This protects paying customers and keeps the site honest.
The site keeps a small amount of information in your browser's local storage, which is necessary for it to work. It stays on your device and is not sent to advertisers or any third party. It includes your sign-in session, your qualification level, whether your subscription is active, your study timer total, and any diagnostic or past-paper attempt you are part-way through, so you do not lose your answers if the page reloads. Clearing your browser data removes all of it.

When you ask for feedback on a written answer, the text of that answer, along with the question and the subject, is sent to Groq, which runs the AI model that produces the marking. Your name, email address and account identifier are not sent.
AI marking is there to help you practise. It is an estimate produced by software, not a mark awarded by an examiner, and it carries no weight with any exam board.
If you join a class using a code from your teacher, that teacher can see your name and your work for that class: your topic ratings, how many practice attempts you have made, your average and most recent scores, and when you were last active. They cannot see your email address, your password, your payment details or your work in other subjects.
Joining a class is always your choice, and you can leave a class at any time, which stops that teacher seeing your progress.
We use a small number of suppliers to run the service. They may only use your data to provide their service to us.
| Supplier | What they handle |
|---|---|
| Supabase | Our database and sign-in system. Holds your account and revision data. |
| Cloudflare | Hosts the website and runs its server code. |
| Stripe | Takes payments and manages subscriptions. Receives your name and email address. |
| Groq | Provides the AI model used for marking. Receives answer text, without your name or email. |
| Resend | Delivers our emails. Receives your email address and first name. |
| Google Fonts, jsDelivr, DiceBear | Serve fonts, code libraries and avatar images to your browser. Like any website resource, your browser's request reaches them, which necessarily includes your IP address. They receive nothing else about you from us. |
Some of these suppliers are based outside the UK, mainly in the United States. Where data is transferred abroad, it is protected by the safeguards UK data protection law requires, such as the International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask us for a copy of your data, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
You can act on most of these yourself in Settings: edit your details, change your email preferences, delete your diagnostic results, or delete your whole account. For anything else, email TChandranivasan@raglearning.uk and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or by calling 0303 123 1113. We would rather you told us first, so we can put it right.
RAG Learning is built for students taking GCSEs and A-Levels. You must be at least 13 to create an account. If you are under 18, you need permission from a parent or guardian before buying a subscription, and the person who owns the card must agree to the payment.
If we learn that we hold an account for a child under 13, we will delete it.
If we change this policy in a way that affects you, we will update the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you by email.
